THE DEVIL IS A LIAR
The Devil is a liar and he is the father of lies (St John 8:44). The Devil is the father of lies. This means that:
· He is the Master of masters at concocting lies;
· He knows how to get you to believe his lies;
· He knows how to get you to start lying like himself; and,
· He knows how to make you live a life of lies.
To believe someone is to trust someone. So, if you begin to believe the enemy’s lies, you are trusting in him, and that is idol worship. “Thou shalt have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3). Furthermore, when Jesus was tempted by Satan, this is what Jesus said to him “Get thee, hence Satan, for it is written, thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve” (St Matthew 4:10).
Idol Worshipping is a deep insult and a direct assault on the character of God. If the enemy can get any one of you, who claim to be a Christian, to begin to doubt God, Satan has begun to win the battle for your soul. It stands to reason, therefore, that:
· You must never doubt that God can save you
· You must never doubt that he can deliver you.
· You must never doubt that God can change you and make you a better person.
· You must never doubt that God can heal you from Cancer, Heart Disease, Diabetes, Pain, any Autoimmune disease, any sickness, or any disease.
The million dollar question is then, “Whose report will you choose to believe?”
- The devil’s?
- The doctor’s?
- The LORD’s?
At any time and every time, I CHOOSE to believe the report of the LORD JESUS CHRIST!
Regardless, of the pre-existing and present situation, regardless of how dismal and dark everything appears to be, even when nothing indicates that there is a slight possibility, I CHOOSE, I choose, I choose to believe that God can. He is not a liar! He is Truth. Whatever He says, He will do.
I was sick with a debilitating headache. So terribly enervating, crippling was the head pain that today, I know that, if I were driving and just had one episode of that headache, I would have crashed the car and possibly died. I did several tests including head scans which, resulted in no abnormality noted. Yet the headaches did not go away. I got medications that I refused to take because I chose to believe God. God has healed me. I have no more headaches; they are all gone!
God cannot lie! It is not a part of His character. “…That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation…” (St Matthew 6:18).
So, the next time old sleuth foot Satan comes whispering his lies in your ears, in an attempt, to make you believe it is your thinking, you need to rebuke that liar in the name of Jesus. I respectfully ask you to:
· Believe the Truth
· Speak the Truth
· Hang on to the Truth
· Surround yourself with the Truth
· Live the Truth
· Rest in the Truth
For Christ is Truth. The Bible says of Him: “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life (St John 14:6).
